In order for our community of classmates to benefit from using wordpress as a tool to receive feedback from peers, share ideas and promote a positive learning environment you must follow some guidelines.
As a wordpress user in this course you need to adhere to the following guidelines:
-Write intelligently. Think about what you are writing before you publish or comment. Is your writing offensive to anyone? Did you use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar? Are you showing some sort of thought behind your statements? Ask yourself these questions before posting an entry or comment.
-Protect yourself. If you encounter any offensive comments, spam, or messages from someone who is not identified, contact the teacher. The teacher will take some notes and solve the problem at the source. Do not interact with anyone you don’t know or stoop to the level of cyber bullying. Do not respond to anyone you do not personally know.
-Write with a purpose. Each entry you make will be directed by the course. This wordpress page is not to be used as a personal journal, a gossip column, or other off topic posts. These types of post will not result in any type of feedback needed to help improve your work.
-Collaborate with peers. The best way you can improve in art is to hear what people have to say about your work. Use this forum to share your work and your ideas. Look at your classmates work, provide them with constructive feedback they can use to improve. When you receive feedback, understand it is not a personal attack, and use it to improve your design work. Cultivate discussions about your projects and ideas.
If you have any rules you feel should be considered please post a comment to this page.
